Elko, Nevada - Rabbitbrush: A Little about the Region

It's a desert, albeit with wonderful fishing spots, mountaintops, sky so huge you can see the curvature of the earth. There's gold in these here hills, which creates a prosperous local economy. There are cattle ranches here, too -- cowboys (and girls) along with the miners. Elko has many churches, including the Lamoille Church, most photographed church in Nevada. It also has five brothels.
